The founder of Tourtour Fossil Museum, Victor Zaneboni was first interested in botany,
and while out walking he began to collect « his stones » imprinted with the past.
An ardent amateur, he studied paleontology for 20 years in order to be able to interprete
and list his many discoveries. One specy of ammonites actually bears his name.
